What If a Customer's Phone Has No NFC? (QR Backup)

If a customer's phone has no NFC, or tapping isn't convenient, they can scan the QR code on the back of the card with their phone's camera to open the same destination. Cards ship with the Tap + QR back by default, so the QR code is included at no extra cost.

How to check the QR backup

  1. On the product page, go to Customize your design.
  2. Tap the back view of the preview to see the QR code. Cards come with the Tap + QR back by default.
  3. Check the preview before checkout.

When the QR helps

  • The customer's phone doesn't support NFC, or NFC is turned off.
  • Tapping isn't convenient, for example when the card is on a counter display or the customer prefers their camera.

Does the QR open the same page as the tap?

The QR is a scan-to-open fallback for the card's destination. Your design and destination are checked before production.
