How Tap Review Cards Work

Design my NFC card

A tap review card has an NFC chip programmed with your review page link. When a customer holds a compatible NFC-enabled phone to the card, the phone opens that page. The phone may ask them to open the link, and no special app is needed. The chip has no battery; the phone powers it when tapped.

Pocket Factory: Your business logo on a card. Tap it, it opens your link. The link can be your website, Instagram, Google reviews, booking page, menu or pay link. It's an NFC card with an NTAG215 chip, pre-programmed with your URL, from $19, and you can order just one, with no app or subscription.

Step by step

  1. You hand the customer the card (or keep it on the counter).
  2. They hold their phone near the card.
  3. The phone opens your review page, such as Google, Yelp or Trustpilot. Some phones show a prompt to open the link first.
  4. They leave the review in their browser or app.

Where can a Pocket Factory card send people?

Besides reviews (Google, Yelp, Trustpilot or your preferred review platform), a card can open a booking page, a social profile, your website or your contact details. Each batch has one purpose.

What if the phone doesn't tap?

Cards ship with the Tap + QR back by default, so each one also carries a QR code customers can scan instead. See what if a customer's phone has no NFC.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. Pocket Factory cards are a one-time purchase. There's no subscription, and nothing for your customers to download. See how one-card prices compare: NFC business card prices with your logo.

Where do I get my Google review link?

Paste your Google review link in the order form (in your Google Business Profile, choose “Ask for reviews” and copy the link, or find it with our free Google review link generator), or check “I’ll send my review link after checkout” and email it to bryton@getpocketfactory.com. If you only know your business name and location, tell us and we find the review page and confirm it with you before production.
