When blank NTAG213 cards are the better choice
- Bulk: GoToTags lists blank cards from USD 0.30 each with a 10-card minimum; compare card totals plus shipping and the work needed to program and test them.
- Technical users: you can write and test your URL with an NFC-writing app such as NFC Tools (App Store, Google Play).
- You want to rewrite it: leave the tag unlocked and change the URL whenever you like. Lock it once you're done if you don't want anyone else rewriting it.
A note on chips: Pocket Factory cards use NTAG215 (504 bytes), while these blanks use NTAG213 (144 bytes). Many short URLs fit on either chip, but the encoded URL and NDEF record overhead must fit; longer URLs may need shortening or more memory, so test the exact URL.
The trade-off: blanks arrive plain, you do the programming and testing yourself, and GoToTags has a 10-card minimum.
When Tap Tag fits
Tap Tag's Classic card is a good fit if you want a cheap card with a QR code. Where Tap Tag is genuinely stronger (all checked on taptag.shop on October 23, 2026):
- Change the link any time: every Tap Tag comes with a free dashboard, and Tap Tag says the tap and QR destination can be changed in real time from any computer (Tap Tag Classic Card page).
- Next-business-day shipping: Tap Tag says orders typically ship within one business day of purchase, personalized or not, from New York (Tap Tag shipping policy).
- Free analytics: 7-day page-view analytics are included free in the dashboard; Pro and Teams plans are optional paid upgrades (Tap Tag Classic Card page).
- Logo cards without Tap Tag branding: its printed plastic card is printed edge to edge with your design and carries no Tap Tag branding, listed at USD 29.95 for one without a lanyard (Tap Tag printed plastic card page).
If you want to change where your card points later, or you need it to ship the next business day, Tap Tag is the better fit.
