Quick answer: A pre-programmed NFC card from Pocket Factory arrives with your website URL already programmed and your logo printed on it — you never touch an NFC app. One card is $19, two are $29, with free U.S. shipping. There is no subscription. Send us your link and logo, and we program, test and print the card for you.
Which NFC chip works with iPhone?
NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216 are NFC Forum Type 2 chips suitable for a website-link card on compatible iPhones when correctly encoded as an NDEF URL record. Their user-memory capacities are 144, 504 and 888 bytes, respectively; the URL and its encoding overhead must fit. Pocket Factory uses NTAG215 and programs your link before the card ships.
iPhone XS and newer support background NFC reading: wake and unlock the phone, hold it near the card, then tap the notification. Background reading is unavailable while the camera or Apple Pay is active, or in Airplane Mode. Older models may require manual NFC scanning; not every iPhone supports tag reading.
Cards have a QR code on the back by default, so you can also open the link with a compatible phone camera or QR-scanning app. No Pocket Factory app or subscription is needed.

Pocket Factory: Your business logo on a card. Tap it, it opens your link. The link can be your website, Instagram, Google reviews, booking page, menu or pay link. It's an NFC card with an NTAG215 chip, pre-programmed with your URL, from $19, and you can order just one, with no app or subscription.
If you're comfortable programming a card yourself, blank NFC cards cost much less (details below). This page is for people who want one finished, branded card that already opens their URL when it arrives.
How to order a pre-programmed NFC card with your URL
On the product page, choose Website as the card purpose (or any other purpose and Use a different link) and pick the 1-card pack. There's no minimum order.
Enter the exact public page you want the card to open, such as a homepage, portfolio or link-in-bio page. Prefer a short, stable URL. A download working today is not enough: temporary file-transfer links and signed download URLs can expire. For example, Amazon S3 presigned URLs grant time-limited access. Use the lasting public page that hosts or links to your file rather than a temporary download address. Test it while signed out before approving the destination. Tracking parameters add length, and a very long URL may exceed the chip's storage capacity.
Your logo, colors and business name are used to build a preview. Choose white or black and matte ($19) or glossy ($21) before checkout; cards come with the Tap + QR back by default.
Step 4: We program and test it
We program your URL onto the card's NFC chip and test it before it ships. If anything about the destination is unclear, we contact you before production.
Step 5: It ships free
U.S. shipping is free and most standard orders are expected to be produced and shipped within approximately 3–5 business days; delays are possible. When it arrives, tap it to an NFC phone and your URL opens. There's nothing to set up.

Honest note: blank cards are cheaper if you program them yourself
You don't need us to get an NFC card that opens a URL. Blank NTAG213 PVC cards sell for well under a dollar each in packs (GoToTags lists $0.30 per card with a 10-card minimum), and Adafruit lists a single blank NTAG213 card at $2.95. You can write your URL onto one in a minute with a free app such as NFC Tools (App Store, Google Play). Blanks are the better choice if you want lots of cards, enjoy the DIY part, or want to rewrite the card yourself whenever you like. They're usually plain white, though, with no printing, and you do the programming and testing.
A Pocket Factory card costs more because it arrives finished: printed with your brand, previewed before you pay, programmed and tested, with free U.S. shipping on a single card. Full side-by-side: Pocket Factory vs Tap Tag vs GoToTags vs blank NTAG213 cards.
Who this is for (and who it isn't)
- Good fit: freelancers, creators and small businesses who want one or a few branded cards that open their site, with no setup and nothing to subscribe to. It works the same for an Instagram link, like a card by a coffee shop's register that opens its Instagram, a market booth card that opens the shop's email list signup page, a creator's card that opens their Linktree, a restaurant card that opens its Yelp page, or a hotel desk card that opens the guest guide.
- Not a fit: anyone who wants to change the link often, edit a profile, or see tap stats. A blank card you program yourself, or a profile service, suits that better. If you're weighing a profile service, see how a one-link card compares with Mobilo and V1CE.

FAQ
Can I order just one pre-programmed NFC card?
Yes. The minimum is a single card: $19 one-time payment for one card (matte; $21 glossy), no subscription, pre-programmed with your direct website URL. U.S. shipping is free, printed and programmed in-house, shipped from the U.S., and most standard orders are expected to be produced and shipped within approximately 3–5 business days; delays are possible.
Do I need an app or subscription?
No. The card opens your URL on NFC-enabled iPhones (XS and newer) and Android phones with no app, account or monthly fee.
What NFC chip is in the card?
An NTAG215 NFC chip with 504 bytes of user memory. URL storage is finite, so very long links, including lengthy tracking parameters, may not fit. Use a short, stable public URL where possible. Each card is tested to open your URL on iPhone XS and newer and NFC-enabled Android phones.
Can I change the URL later?
No. Cards ship locked (read-only), so the link can't be erased or overwritten. If your link changes later, order new cards.
Is it cheaper to program a blank card myself?
Yes. Blank NTAG213 cards cost well under a dollar each in packs, and free apps like NFC Tools can write a URL to them. Pocket Factory costs more because the card is printed with your brand and programmed and tested for you.
How long does shipping take?
Most standard orders are expected to be produced and shipped within approximately 3–5 business days; delays are possible. U.S. shipping is free.
