Here’s what we found
From your words
Change anything:
Matte is soft, with no shine. Glossy is shiny. Both work the same way.
The plastic card under your design: only its edge shows.
Bigger or smaller. It always stays clear of the card’s edges.
A shared card. Buy it as it is, or make it yours and change anything, even where a tap goes. The shared card stays as it was.
Where should a tap go?
Tap it on a phone. Your link opens. No app needed. A printed QR backup is included by default.
Nothing to pick here for a contact card. Pick one below only if a tap should open something else.
Reviews go to:
Your cards open this link, so Buy waits for it.
How do I find my Google review link?
- Search your business name on Google, signed in to the Google account that manages it.
- On your Business Profile, tap Ask for reviews. On a computer, choose Read reviews, then Get more reviews.
- Copy the link and paste it above.
No Google Business Profile yet? Choose “Website” above: your cards open your website.
Tap, collect, done.
A tap opens your review page. A QR scan works too.
Hold the card near the top of a phone. Your link opens on their screen, no app needed.

The stylist’s guide
A business card that opens your booking page
A Pocket Factory card looks like a business card, with your logo on the front and an NFC chip inside.
Hold it near a client’s phone and your booking page opens. A printed QR backup is included by default and opens the same link.
Each card opens one link, set before it ships. For most stylists that link is the page clients already book from.
Book the next visit at checkout
The easiest booking to get is the one made at the chair, while the client is looking at the finished cut or color.
Hand them the card as you take payment: “Tap this and pick your next time.” Your booking page opens on their phone.
They choose the date in your own booking tool, with your services and hours. The card only opens the page.
At the chair
- Name the next service: “Book your toner for when your roots start to show.”
- Let them tap while you’re still there to answer “Which service do I pick?”
- Not ready to book? They keep the card and tap it later.
Booking page, Instagram or Google reviews?
Booking page: the default for a stylist. Vagaro, Booksy, GlossGenius, Square Appointments, Fresha, StyleSeat or a booking page on your own site.
Instagram: a Social card opens your profile. Pick it when new clients find you through your work, or your book is full.
Google reviews: a Review card opens your salon’s review page. It suits a salon owner building the salon’s listing.
Choosing the booking link
- Use the public page clients book on, not the calendar you manage.
- Open it in a private browser tab. If it asks you to sign in, it’s the wrong page.
- Want both? Order a Booking design and a Social design in the same order.
Booth renter or salon owner
Renting a booth or a suite? Put your own logo and your own booking link on the card. The book you build stays yours.
Own the salon? Choose between one shared card that opens the salon’s booking page, and one card per stylist.
Per-stylist cards open each stylist’s own booking page, so clients land straight on the person they sat with.
Setting it up
- One design per stylist. Each is its own line in your cart, with its own pack.
- Keep one shared salon card at the front desk for new walk-ins.
- Shared booking tool? Use each stylist’s own page from it, if it has one.
At the front desk and in the retail bag
Not every client rebooks at the chair. Give them a second chance in the places they look after the appointment.
A card in the bag with their shampoo or styling product is found again at home, when they’re thinking about their hair.
Good spots
- A small stack beside the card reader at the front desk.
- One in every retail-product bag that leaves the salon.
- One with each gift card you sell, so the new client books with you.
Make it, test the tap, keep it handy
Above, type your website or upload your logo. Choose Booking and paste your booking link. Your card is drawn as you go.
When the cards arrive, tap one with your own phone and scan its QR code. Both should open your booking page.
Each card ships in a protective sleeve. Keep spares in it, in a drawer at your station.
At your station
- Keep cards away from wet towels, color bowls and the shampoo bowl.
- Wipe off product or hairspray with a dry cloth.
- There’s no battery and nothing to charge.
What to put on the front and back
-
Front: your logo, the way clients know it
A booth renter puts their own logo, as clients see it on their booking page. A salon puts its logo.
Pick a Light, Dark or brand color background, horizontal or vertical. A thin script logo is easiest to read on Light.
There’s no separate line for a phone number or handle. To share your Instagram, make a Social card.
-
Back: the tap symbol and a QR code
The back has the tap symbol. A printed QR backup is included by default, and it opens the same link.
Works on iPhone XS or newer and NFC Android phones; a printed QR backup covers everything else.
Questions
Stylists ask
-
Which link should a stylist put on the card?
Your public booking page, so clients book their next visit in one tap.
Instagram or Google reviews are other card types. You can order those designs in the same order.
-
Do my clients need an app?
No. Works on iPhone XS or newer and NFC Android phones; a printed QR backup covers everything else.
-
Does the card take the booking?
No. It opens your booking page, and your booking tool takes the booking, with your services, prices and hours.
-
What if I switch booking apps or move salons?
Links are set once and cards ship locked. We check your design and link before production.
If a move is likely, point the card at a booking page on your own website, and change where that page sends people.
-
Can each stylist have their own card?
Yes. Each design is its own line in your cart, with its own pack and its own booking link.
-
How much do the cards cost?
From $19 for one card, paid once. No subscription or monthly fee. Packs of 2 to 50 cost less per card.
-
How fast do the cards ship?
Free standard shipping. Ships in 3–5 business days. Express: made and shipped the next business day, $10. Pick it at checkout.
-
What if a client’s phone doesn’t react to a tap?
They scan the QR code on the back with their phone’s camera. It opens the same booking page.
-
Can I see how many clients tap it?
No. The card doesn’t count taps, and there’s no dashboard. Your booking tool shows the bookings that come in.
-
What if a card doesn’t work when it arrives?
Call us at (888) 218-9635 and we’ll fix it. It works on arrival, or we fix or replace it.
