Design your Google review NFC cards →
An NFC review card is better when a staff member hands it to the customer at the moment you ask for a review. A QR review stand or table tent is better for unattended spots like tables, counters and waiting rooms. Many businesses use both. If you only buy one, pick based on whether a person is usually there to make the ask.
Pocket Factory: Your business logo on a card. Tap it, it opens your link. The link can be your website, Instagram, Google reviews, booking page, menu or pay link. It's an NFC card with an NTAG215 chip, pre-programmed with your URL, from $19, and you can order just one, with no app or subscription.
Cost and compatibility: one Pocket Factory card is a $19 one-time payment for one card with your logo, no subscription and no monthly fee, shipped free from the USA. NFC review cards from other makers (checked on each maker's own product page October 19, 2026, 2:47–2:48 AM ET): Limey $15.00, Tap Tag $19.95, Digifeel $22.90. The tap works on iPhone XS and newer through background tag reading (Apple: background tag reading) and on Android phones with NFC switched on (Android Developers: NFC basics).

Is a Google review NFC card better than a QR code sign at the front desk?
Usually yes, when someone at the front desk hands it over: a card in the customer's hand turns your ask into one tap that opens your Google review page, while a QR sign waits for people to notice it and open their camera. If the desk is often unstaffed, the QR sign does better, and the best setup is both.
- Staffed desk (dental office, salon, clinic, hotel): hand the card over as you ask. The QR backup on the card covers anyone whose phone doesn't tap.
- Unstaffed or busy desk: a visible QR sign reminds people when nobody can ask.
- Both: keep the QR sign up and the card at the desk for the ask.
Pocket Factory makes the card: your business logo on a card, tap it and it opens your Google review link, $19 for one, no subscription and no app, with a QR code backup included by default. Cards ship locked (read-only), so the link can't be erased or overwritten. See QR vs NFC for Google reviews and the pre-programmed NFC card with your URL.

Why the moment of the ask matters most
A card in a customer's hand gets used while they're still happy and still in front of you. One tap opens your review page with nothing to search or type. A stand works quietly in the background, but people have to notice it, open their camera and decide to scan. If your team will reliably say "would you tap here and leave us a quick review?", a card turns that ask into action. If nobody is around to ask, a visible stand or tent does the reminding.
Using both
A common setup is cards at the register or with each technician, plus a QR sign where people wait. A printed QR backup is included by default, so customers who don't tap can still scan the card itself. For placement ideas, see where to place Google review NFC cards. For the sticker option, see Google review stickers vs NFC tap cards.
When a QR code sign is the better choice
Choose the QR sign when nobody will hand anything over, when it has to work from across the room, or when you want to spend nothing: Google lets you create your Business Profile's review link and QR code for free and print it yourself (Google Business Profile Help: Create a Google link or QR code to request reviews). A QR code also doesn't depend on NFC: the iPhone camera scans it (Apple Support: Scan a QR code with your iPhone or iPad), while some Android phones have NFC switched off until the customer turns it on (Android Developers: NFC basics). There's no independent study we know of showing that NFC cards get more reviews than QR signs, so treat the card as the better tool for the hand-off, not a guaranteed lift.
A note on review rules
Whatever you use, offer it to every customer and never trade discounts or freebies for reviews. Google says offering incentives in exchange for reviews is strictly prohibited (Google Business Profile Help; Google Maps user-generated content policy). Put simply, you can't offer incentives for reviews.
Pocket Factory in one line
Pocket Factory cards are a one-time purchase starting at $19. No subscription or monthly fee is needed for the card to keep working when it points at a direct link, and cards have a printed QR code backup by default. You enter your business website, see a preview with your logo and colors before checkout, and U.S. shipping is free. Most standard orders are expected to be produced and shipped within approximately 3–5 business days; delays are possible.
Quick answers
Is a Google review NFC card better than a QR code sign at the front desk?
Usually yes at a staffed front desk: hand the card over as you ask and one tap opens your Google review page. At an unstaffed desk a visible QR sign does better, and many offices use both. Pocket Factory's card is $19 for one with a QR backup.
Can an NFC card replace a QR stand?
At a staffed hand-off point, yes. At an unattended table, a visible QR sign usually gets noticed more.
Does the NFC card also have a QR code?
A printed QR backup is included by default on the back.
How much does a Pocket Factory card cost?
From $19 for one matte card, one-time. 5 cards are $59 and 10 are $109 (matte).
